How I Collect Data
This is an overview of how I handle your personal data. Please see the sections below for further details.
I don't collect any personal data on this website. However, I'm utilizing Cloudflare, a third party, to host this website and speed up access and load times by distributing it across the globe over their content delivery network.
If you purchase one of my products, your data is being collected by Unity Technologies in order to process payments, provide you with a software license and access to the asset's files.
Your Rights
GDPR is all about your rights as users and that's great! You can exercise your rights by sending me an email to [email protected].
1. You can access information on all data stored about you
Get in touch and I will provide you with all information on data I should hold about you.
2. You have the right to be 'forgotten'
When you contact me via email for support, I keep a record of this communication thread for quality purposes and later reference if similar requests arise. If you don't want this or change your mind later, just let me know, and I'll delete all emails you sent to me.
3. You have the right to correct any personal data stored about you
If there's any personal data stored by me about you that should be corrected, please let me know.
4. You have the right to withdraw your consent
If you would like to restrict or withdraw your consent to process any data I hold about you, get in touch and I will work with you to accommodate this accordingly.
5. You have the right to port your data to another service
I will give you a copy of your data in a plain text format so that you can provide it to another service.
6. You have the right to file a complaint regarding my use of your data
Please tell me first so I have a chance to address your concerns. If I fail in this, you can address any complaint to your national data protection authorities.
This Website
Here's a technical breakdown of the features this website uses - and more importantly - doesn't use.
Cookies
My website does not set any cookies. It's that simple.
Analytics and tracking
My website does not utilize any trackers, integrated social media buttons or analytics services.
SSL encryption
This site uses SSL encryption to protect the transmission of confidential data. The SSL certificate is issued by Let's Encrypt. You can recognize an encrypted connection in your browser's address line when it changes from http:// to https:// and when the (usually green) lock icon is displayed in your browser's address bar. In many browsers, clicking the lock icon will give you further information about the website related to your privacy.
If SSL encryption is activated, the data you transfer cannot be read by third parties.
Hosting
The servers for this website are provided by:
Cloudflare, Inc.
101 Townsend St,
San Francisco, CA 94107
USA
Cloudflare does not keep raw server logs, so it is impossible for me to track individual visitors of this website. However, Cloudflare does generate aggregate data, so they can provide analytics, which include numbers of hits, page views, bandwidth consumed and unique visitors. If you want to learn more about what Cloudflare logs, check out their eponymous blog post.
Cloudflare complies with GDPR. You can find their privacy policy here: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/
Unity Asset Store
When purchasing a product from the Unity Asset Store, you need to create a user account and provide Unity Technologies with your payment information. I have no access to this data, and the only way for me to validate your purchase of one of my assets is with a unique invoice number I ask you to provide when sending in a support request. At no point in this process, I have access to any of your personal data. In fact, I don't even know your name.
All data necessary to process your purchase is collected by:
Unity Software Inc. (DBA Unity Technologies)
30 3RD St San Francisco, CA
94103-3104
United States
Unity Technologies is committed to comply with GDPR. You can find our more about their privacy policy on their site: https://unity.com/legal/developer-privacy-policy
